It's true.
I may not be able to buy a decent burrito.
I may not currently be able to find bananas for less than $12/kilo ($5.40/lb)
and I may never again pay less than $1.30/litre ($4.93/gallon) for gas.
I may not get to go to the Michaelsen family reunion in Missouri in August,
and it may be another Christmas or two before we get to go back to the US at all.
I may have all my seasons upside down
and not be able to buy Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice in the entire country of Australia.
But yesterday on a trip to Costco

I got to hug a wombat.

Ha!! Awesome! At COSTCO, though!?
Well, we were walking through the shopping center next to Costco and came upon this. So while not technically AT Costco, it was across the street.
Sooooo cool!
Things are actually cheaper than I expected there. In the UK, gas was about $2.20/litre. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay that as we bought our gas on base. Here, it is usually over $4/gallon. Fruit is crazy expensive too. We don't have wombats though, just moose, caribou, and bear. ;-)
My husband is actually in Australia at the moment....in Canberra.
Love, it Stephanie! Looks like you guys are making the most of your new adventure!
sweet!
